My fingerprints have been requested however I am living outside of Canada (I did previously live in Canada for a few years). I need to get my fingerprints taken, send them to a Canadian agency who then forward them onto the RCMP, who will then send me a certificate/results which I need to upload, there is a deadline of all of this to be done by January 9th - so they have given 2 months.
My local police department will take 2 weeks before I can get an appointment to get my fingerprints done. My question is
1. Is it ok/acceptable to have a private agency/company take the fingerprints (not the local police dept), I can get an appointment in a few days
2. Or get the local police to do it ( in 2 weeks time). And then submit the fingerprint application forms I have sent (not the final results) to CIC in the meantime - will they accept this?
