Rank required to be invited to apply: 4,500th or above
Date and time of round: November 5, 2020 at 12:17:58 UTC
CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited:478
Tie-breaking rule: October 26, 2020 at 22:44:19 UTC
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
As expected, a delay of 1 week resulted in a drastic increase in the cut-off. Many congratulations to those who made it through this time and others should remain hopeful. Good luck!
One week additional gap ( 3 weeks in reality) plus additional french points has caused the spike in the CRS score to 478.
To be honest the CRS spike is understandable, but the cause of concern is the pool size jump.. Did everyone notice the pool has grown to 148k all of a sudden?? This implies people are flocking into the pool with a Canadian dream at various scores.
The bottom line is loads of people are looking at canada, even though the target it 400000 PR's to land in canada next year, if the pool grows at this speed, it's going to be unrealistic to expect the scores to drop even if the number of ITA remain constant at 4500 or even touch 5000 per draw !!

One of the reason in the pool size jump is uncertainty in US immigration market. With Dems coming to white house (looks likely), folks in States would take a wait and watch approach causing less inward traffic. My 2 cents...
Due to the certain changes into the system, the delay in the draws have happened. Because, CIC needed time for recalculating the CRS points of the applicable applications into the pool.
Moreover, CIC has also stated that its looking forward to normalise the bi-weekly draw trend soon as it was before. So, things should be getting on the right track soon.
Actually received my invite on October 15, and started gathering my papers, but the extra fench points, helped my spouse to get in as a main candidate as well. Her paper work is easier to collect and prove (Work History, Proof of Funds) so we're going with her.
