Hi I'm currently on a closed work permit and I've received AOR and biometrics instructions letter. However, due to pandemic, I've been unable to get my biometrics collected. On cic website, it says my application will be completed by September and my work permit expires in October this year. I've also applied for bridging open work permit but that also requires getting biometrics done. I'm wondering if I should quit my job or not because I'm struggling at work and I just need some break. Also what would happen if I get fired? Would I have to leave Canada? Would my PR application be canceled?

Doesn't BOWP require biometrics? If I don't get BOWP by October, then I will be on implied status if I have a job or I will not be on implied status correct?

If you don't get your BOWP by October, you will be on implied status since you have submitted a BOWP application. That implied status will allow you to continue working for your current employer but not switch to a new one.
