This is sort of a weird scenario. My husband and son have received their COPR. We have a trip planned for early September to take care of a soft landing before moving to Toronto in October (we are currently living in New York). My husband just found out he has to be in Toronto for work in August. Does he NEED to go through the immigration process or declare anything when he is up for this trip? He’s only in town for a few hours for a meeting so would strongly prefer not to deal with immigration and SIN then. Additionally, our son won’t be there so would then need to do it again in September when we are in Toronto. Thanks for your help with navigating this!
Assuming he has a visit visa or is visa exempt or holds a US passport then is fine to just enter as a visitor on a business trip and if even asked explain that to CBSA. No need to volunteer the information just answer questions asked.
