Friends.. my company has currently deputed me to Canada and in the salary letter they have mentioned my role as 'Solution Architect - NOC 2171'. Now the problem is a similar title 'Software Architect' falls under 2173 but there is nothing mentioned as solutions architect in the NOC list. I am confused what should I do now.
Should I still go ahead with 2171 or 2173?

Hi,
"Requirements
(4) In order to be assigned points under subsection (1) for their Canadian work experience, a foreign national
(a) must specify in their expression of interest the four-digit code in the National Occupational Classification that corresponds to each of the occupations they have engaged in while accumulating their Canadian work experience; and
(b) must have performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, as well as a substantial number of the main duties, including all essential duties, as set out in the National Occupational Classification."

Based on requirement B above, your job tittle is of little or no importance in selecting the NOC. One is mandated to select the NOC in which they performed the lead statement actions; and that best suites their roles and responsibilities.
Hope that helps.
I think thats a very fair statement. Thanks a lot.
Can you also guide in case I am willing to change my NOC post ITA, is it ok or a big NO NO??

It's ok to change your NOC post-ITA. You will just need to explain why you have done so in you LOE.
