Just wondering if the background check will start before eligibility is met? I have the following webform response and dont know if they passed my eligibility or not.

May 05

• The eligibility review is in process.
• The security background verification has not been initiated.
• The criminal background verification is valid.

May 26

• The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if you and your family members if applicable meet the eligibility requirements under the class for which you have applied. You can expect to be contacted if additional information is necessary.
• The background verifications are in process.
• The criminal background verification is currently valid.

not necessarily. background checks start when the case processing agent completes the first pass of eligibility check. he/she can either mark eligibility as 'met' or 'review required'.
