Questions about work history.

I worked full-time until August 2019. Now I only have several hours' part-time free-lance work a week without anyone or any document to prove I'm not actually unemployed. My question is, should I state that I'm unemployed or self-employed in work history, after I get an invitation? If I state that I've been unemployed for months, will that affect my application? Thank you!

In my opinion, explain everything in your LOE while submitting your application.
