I got medical exam request yesterday. It seems a good news but I'm worried because I did a blood test last month and 3 items seemed much higher above the normal, I used to be very healthy though.
Two questions here:
1. On the letter from CIC, it said ''You are required to undergo the medical examinations within 60 days of the date of this
letter''. does it mean I just need to see a panel physician within 60days? or I have to get the results of medical exam within 60days?
2. For those who are already done with medical exam, what kind of items will be checked in the immigration medical exam?
I think what they are looking for are infections such as HIV and syphilis. Minor problems won't have any issues. You can go through this PDF is you are interested
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op15-eng.pdf
For me, the 3 abnormal items are related to the liver test: ALT, AST, ALP.
Besides, the blood test results show that I don't have any hepatitis.
So, my family doctor said it must be other problems. But I'm worried those 3 items may bring bad impact on PR processing.
if and in any case, cic decided that your condition needs to be further investigated or even dmp could feel the need to refer you to a specialist, it will cause a bit of delay. Were you on antibiotics recently? Sometimes, certain antibiotics can cause them to be elevated slightly. Your gp will decide whether or not to refer you to a specialist. And getting in to see one takes time and figuring out what it is can also take time.
But I do not know a complete list of the things dmp checks in blood. You do not have hep b.
If you could get in to see a specialist quick and get the result quick and then do the medical with a peace of mind.
But it all depends on the timeline. You have come this far and you certainly would not want anything nagging in the back of your head after doing the medical. Knowing helps all of us to prepare. Not knowing and hoping for the best are gambling.

Thanks for suggestions. Anyways I book an appointment for immigration medical check in 1 month.
In the meantime, by doing another blood test and ultrasound, I'm trying to figure out what happened to cause those high items with my family doctor. Hope nothing serious by then.
Btw, I did take some herb medication to heal some digestion issues. So I stop those medication before the blood test next week.
