I am a PR of Canada residing outside of Canada now for a year and will return in a few months. Planning to enter my common-law-spouse for the same named application.
Now, we would want to ask the following questions to help in our application:
What are the most critical documents/ proof for common law partnership?
What is the likelihood of approval for common law spouse?
When an applicant is married to a PR (living in Canada for a year), is the application a sure pass?
Is it allowable/ recommended to apply for Express Entry at the same time as applying for a Common-Law-Spouse sponsorship application?
1. Most important proofs would be cohabitation proofs of at least 12 months.
2. Nobody can say the likelihood, every application and couple is different and have different proofs.
3. No, it's never a sure pass. You will have to provide the same proofs and information as everybody else.
4. It's allowed as long as the spouse qualifies, but largely pointless. They would be able to possibly get a work permit quicker than the inland sponsorship route, but spousal sponsorship is generally a lot more straightforward.
