hi all. I'm asking a question for a member of another immigration group who is ready to send her husband's application but has a concern.
Her husband's father made an error when filling out his paperwork when he was born and made a spelling error of his mother's last name on his birth certificate. Her husband's last name is really FLUGENCIO but on all his documents it's FULGENCIO. why this was not fixed before I'm not sure as I don't have those details. but now this lady is worried because her husband's last name does not match his siblings or his mother is has passed away.
it's an easy fix in reality but they would have to do everything all over again and get revised documents, like passport, birth, marriage and do all the forms over again.
any one else have suggestions?
or should they live it be. I don't think they realized it before only when they go the information from siblings that they noticed the discrepancy

If I were in the situation, I would correct the mistake first. I would rather to do it right than hectically, because if it does not meet the requirement and would be rejected by IRCC, everything has to start all over again, it cost more money and time eventually.
