Just want to know,
1. In India, Which bank (such as ICICI, SBI etc) can we use for Bank Draft?
2. Regarding Currency conversion from INR to CAD. I have an understanding that bank will use that date particular currency conversion rate and issue bank draft?
Special request to those applicants, who have filled and sent application to Sydney office from India itself?
If you have SBI account and enough money in that for fees they can give you bank draft. They will charge you 750 Rs as service charge. I check in my place for that.
I dont think to open NRI a/c on any bank.......If i have already a/c on any bank suppose XYZ...and XYZ has Ferox and International Bank Draft facility..Then XYZ can easily provide me CAD Bank Draft....this is my understanding.....
I have enquired with ICICI Bank and Bank of Baroda, both declined to issue demand draft in canadian dollars. Instead they offered telegraphic transfer, which is not accepted by ciu, sydney.
If you have HSBC in India, check with them. They can not only arrange a CAD BD for you, they can also help you with opening a bank account in Canada while you are still in your home country.
