Question regarding travel history in PR application form

Hello Everyone,

I am currently in the process of filling my PR application after receiving the ITA from the Canada Immigration department. One of the questions ask if I was refused visa by any country in the last ten years.

I was refused Schengen visa five years back and I am providing all these details along with a letter of explanation as part of my PR application.
Although, I recently traveled to Canada on tourist visa and I did not mention about this visa rejection as part of that tourist visa application. Will this affect my PR application in any way? Thoughts?
