Question regarding Open Work Permit

Dear Members,

Posting a query related to open work permit.

Background of my situation: I applied sponsorship for my spouse from inside Canada along with her open permit application. The whole application has been returned due to some missing documents which I am planning to resubmit again for consideration.

While filling up open work permit, I got stuck on one question which I am not clear what to answer. The application name is "APPLICATION TO CHANGE CONDITIONS,EXTEND MY STAY OR REMAIN IN CANADA AS A WORKER"

The question in concern is "Have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada?" (Yes/No).

So what should I answer here?
> Should I mention my wife's tourist/visitor visa number?
> Should I mention that my spouse sponsorship application has been returned?

I checked with IRCC customer care and they are asking me to mention everything. I am just not confident how it will affect the evaluation.

Any guidance will be a great help in proceeding ahead.

You must answer YES as your wife has previously applied to enter Canada (as she's in Canada)

Thank you very much for your inputs. Just one more query. As I mentioned above that my spouse sponsorship has been returned which I am re-applying. Do you suggest I should mention that too? Just worried as it should not be taken as negative step.
