Can you guys please shed some light here.

I have a question regarding the job reference letter. I have worked for a company for 2.5 years from Jan 2017 until Aug 2019 and they issued me a job reference letter while I was working for them in February 2019 as per IRCC guidelines for my express entry which is dated back in Feb 2019. In the letter it was mentioned that I am currently working there (as they issued while I was working there dated February 2019) but I left the company in Aug 2019. I am in the process of submitting my express entry application now. Can I still use the same letter and add an explanation letter saying I was working only until Aug 2019.

Does that work?

Or Do I need to get a whole new letter with current date?

I wouldn't chance that, even if it doesn't affect your CRS. Get a new letter with your start and end dates.

If you are claiming points for work experience till August 2019, then how can you possibly prove the same with reference letter till February 2019 ?

No, you cannot submit old letter (with LOE). Please get a new one.

I am only claiming work experience till Feb 2019 which is from Jan 2017 to Feb 2019 the total of two years of work experience (Letter is dated Feb 2019). I left the company in Aug 2019. So I still need to get a new letter with today's date right?

If it's easy to get a new letter, get a new letter. If it's hard to do that, then you can use this letter, but you will need to make sure you don't claim any experience beyond the date of the letter, and you should also attach a few pay slips (Dec 2018-Feb 2019).

Yes, I only want to claim from Jan 2017 to feb 2019 and I have all the pay slips including T4’s.
