Question regarding Drivers License (Canada) & International Drivers Permit

Hello,

I would like to know that if we possess International Drivers Permit from India, how long will it be valid in Canada. Note that this is not Indian Driving License which is valid for 60 days in most of the provinces.

My second question is do I need "Letter of Authentication" in case I already have an International Drivers Permit for taking test for G2 license?
