I came to Canada on a student visa and stayed from May 2012 to December 2013. I don't remember whether I gave biometrics or not. I am applying for a visitor visa and not sure what to answer to this question:
"In the past 10 years, have you given your fingerprints and photo (biometrics) for an application to come to Canada?"
If you're not sure, say no and when you upload your purpose of visit documentation include a note explaining that you're not sure. Worst case scenario should be that you do them again.
