I was told by an immigration lawyer the job offer letter I received for my employer in Canada is fine except for one missing line. Basically they told me I needed to have my company add a line that said they will be employing me for a year after I get my PR. The language my employer used was "it is our intention to keep employing [me] in this position".
My job is a full-time position as a software developer, been working here for 3 years on a work permit.
Has anyone received their PR with a job offer with their employer not explicitly saying they keep you on for at least a year? My company's lawyer is pushing back on that language.

Some have been successful but it's risky. IRCC wants to see the language that confirms they will continue to employ you for a year after you become PR. Basically if you use the letter you have as is, you are risking the possibility of refusal. Also some chance you might get lucky and be approved.

In the case of refusal, does that just mean my application is denied or are there more legal ramifications like not being able to submit another application?

Sorry buddy, I understand the pain, I am in the same boat. How on earth does IRCC expect a private company to put on paper that they will offer 1 yr employment beyond a future date!! Anyhow, I found this format in another post, which adds a slight exclusion which may be acceptable to the company lawyer, not sure if IRCC will accept it but better than nothing: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...rd/threads/cec-pr-refusal.695947/post-8754245
This letter is to confirm that an offer of continuous, fulltime employment has been extended to Mr. (name) for a duration of at least one year after the date on which his permanent resident visa is issued, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in Mr. (name)'s employment contract.
Please let us all know what you finally did. Lots of people come here with questions but do not return to tell what they did and what happened in the end. Please break this trend.
