I am not sure if this is going to be a problem. The Job Title and the roles provided in the employer letter does not match the same NOC code. I am not sure which NOC code I need to put my application in. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Job Roles:
Develop, enhance and test software applications
Support the software applications
Debug and fix the issues in the applications as they occur
Analyze the requirements provided and implement them into software code
Submit reports related to work status on a timely manner
Attend meetings as required
So, based on the roles I belong to 2174 category but the title does not match.
My company is not willing to change the Job Title. So, can anyone please help me to pick the right NOC code?
Job title does not necessarily as the same with NOC title. It is the job description itself that counts. Make sure that your job fall under the job descriptions enumerated in NOC like you are doing it 80%. Your immediate supervisor will provide a reference letter as part of your application package.
It will be risk if you force your company to change your job title because when the time comes when CIC will do a background check, it might create some trouble if the employee is not around anymore to confirm your title.
Thanks a lot for the explanation. This helps a lot.

I'm just curious as to WHO they try to contact because my manager is SALES REP and he's out of the office pretty frequently... if CIC tries to contact my company they're most likely not going to to find him. They should try his mobile.
Then it would be wise to take a letter from your manager stating that you work for him and so and so are your roles etc. Ask him to mention his mobile number in the letter also take his business card and attach it with the letter. Not sure if this works but this is what I read in some other posts.
