My wife has a 2 year part time MBA. Just wondering what answer would be for the following two question on the form IMM0008:
1) Highest Level of Education: This would be Master's Degree right?
2) Number of years of Education in Total: Whether this would be 16 (excluding the mba) or 18 (including the mba duration).
I found mixed comments on the forum as to whether the part time would be added to the education years or not.
1. has she received her MBA yet? if not, then i don't think she can say her highest level of education is master's until she actually receives her masters. she needs to pick bachelors if she's not finished with her program yet. if they ask her to list her education, then she can put the MBA program there, indicate she hasn't finished it yet and include the amount of time she has already finished.
2. i was in a part time MBA program and received my degree prior to applying. I added my MBA program to the total amount, so it's fine to include the master's program. just because it's part time doesn't mean it's not education. the question isn't asking for "full time education" it is asking about education in general. also, an academic year is not equal to a calendar year. academic years are generally 9 months. you don't count primary and secondary educations as 12 months for each academic year.
