Question - Immigration history & Citizenships

Dear All,

I have been filling up the express entry forms on the CIC website & have a doubt on the questions as below-

Under Immigration history and citizenships:

Tell us about X previous applications to Canada, countries of citizenship, and the country where he/she currently lives.

1) Has X applied to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada before? Yes or No

Note: I had applied for a visit visa twice in the past. Both of which were rejected.

2) Has X applied for Permanent Residence (PR) before? Yes or No

Question number 2 is definitely a No as I had only applied for a visit visa & not a PR.

Your help will be much appreciated.
