I managed to find all necessary information on CIC website, but there is one thing that bugs me.
I have 1 year and few months work experience as a welder. I can prove this easily, but I don`t have any previous education in welding, I learned it on my own. Will this be a problem?
And second thing is, that I have previous work experience as Mobile phones repairs-man. This experience is about 10 years in length. Can i claim points based on this experience?
The Officer is not supposed to determine if you have the required education for the position, only that you have actually done the job duties of the NOC. (This would be hard to prove in some NOCs however). While you MUST have a minimum of one full, paid year in a NOC 29 occupation, you can still get credit for previous experience as long as it falls in a skill level of O, A or B. Hope this helps.
Put the OP 6 Manual in your list of favourites. You will find all sorts of information in it. All the best. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf
