Hi All,

I am currently on work permit in Canada. I applied for PR under FSW in Buffalo office which is currently in RBVO since March 2011.

I recently received a prestigious research award by the Government of Canada for my research contributions. Although it does not increase my points (I currently have 72 points), but should I update the Buffalo visa office with my achievement? I received a letter of confirmation of award from the Government of Canada. I was thinking to send an email to Buffalo visa office and attach a copy of the letter with a description of the award.

Please advise me if I should update Buffalo about this, or it is not required?

Thanks,
Indus

I would send a case specific enquiry with a copy attached of the letter and the award. Can't hurt for the. To see your contributions are valued.

And, congratulations on the award :)
