Question about TRV/Spouse open work visa.

So my wife receive a 6 month trv to come visit me in canada while waiting for outside canada class sponsorship to keep processing. I read that she can ask for a Open work visa. So if the visa is accept , those that extend the duration she can stay in canada while we wait ( over the time on her trv now ?) or just allow her to work while on the 6 month trv ?

I believe she can apply for OWP once your outland application has reached AOR. (with application number assigned)
While waiting for her OWP approval, she can stay in Canada as visitor. Once the OWP is approved, she can work until either she got her PR or her OWP expires. (at that point her 6 month visitor status is not relevant)

Its what i was thinking , but i read on ircc that a work permit is not consider a visa and don't extend your stay in canada. So if i understand well the owp would allow her to work on trv but still im gonna need to request trv extension every few months if i wanna her to stay till pr is finish ( wish is probably anywhere around 10-12 month from now if its going well ).
