Question about Taxes

Hi All, Question for those who have applied as common law partners. Have you declared common-law union on your taxes since the date of common-law union?

Has anyone lived together with a shared lease/property/pets/bank account, yet filed individual taxes as normal? Does this negatively affect the application?

I dont think it would, even when I was married we filed seperatly, as long as you have other documentation proving your relationship. Me and my fiance do not have any tax info together but he was not able to work in Canada. however our lawyer says all the other bills ect we share are enough.
