Hi, I am currently a high school student in Montreal and I got accepted to Dawson college for next year. My current study permit expired on Oct 30. I am appyling for an extension but im not sure i will get it in time (I'm going back home June 28). Here is my questions:

1/ Can i use my old study permit (expired date: Oct 30, 2010) to come back to Canada? I will be back on August 12, 2010.

2/ Do i need a letter from my highschool to state that i'm a full time student and I will graduate in june?

Thank you so much! :)

yes you can enter canada before the expiry of your study permit provided you have a TRV/ multiple entry visa. I suggest you carry your admission acceptance letter and also your graduation credentials as you might be questioned by the Border Security officers of your return to canada.
