Question about study permit expiry date

Hi all

My study permit expires in April 2022. However, I got my degree on June 01. And I am aware that the study permit expires 90days after finishing the study.
Does the 90 days countdown begin when I get my degree? or when I finish the last course?
Do I need to restore my student status in order to start another diploma in January?
Or do I have to change my status to visitor and apply for a new study permit?

When you say you got your degree, you mean received it at a convocation. When did your program end, and your letter will state the end of your program (last day of exams for example). You must start a program within 6 months of graduation or you need to apply for a new study permit. What is your status now if you graduated in June.

I only have one letter from March 30 saying that I have met all the graduation requirements and on my trascript, it shows that I have my degree on June 01.
I finished my last class on April 20th I have not change my status since graduation

You have no status right now and are in Canada illegally. Hopefully you haven’t been working illegally too. You need to change status visitor because it is more than 150 days between programs. You need another study permit.

Just to clarify, The 90 days start from June 01 right? and Do I have 90 more days after the first 90 days to change status to restore my status as visitor?

You have been out of status since since at least August 30. You need to change status ASAP.

Thank you for the reply, should I change status to visitor record and pay $100 or restore as student and pay $350?
