My wife is born Canadian, living as a resident alien in the USA since 1968. Our three USA born kids kids fall under the criteria to receive proof of Canadian citizenship.

Question: her sister (my sister-in-law) became a US citizen (during which she relinquished her Canadian citizenship). Do her USA born children still have the option of obtaining proof of Citizenship. I believe so, because they were born to a Canadian citizen living in the USA after the 1947 date.

Is my assumption correct?

Yes, as it is unlikely your s/law relinquished her Canadian citizenship when she became a US citizen.
