We got DM on PA side in ecas on February 2nd. I know it's still early, but we didn't receive any communications. Can't register on the new portal for neither sponsor nor pa. PA is from a visa exempt country. Now I've some questions, maybe somebody knows.
1. Being visa exempt do we still wait for ppr?
2. Will we just receive COPR without ppr?
3. Did anyone who got DM before February 2nd manage to register for the new portal?

1. Yes, you still wait for PPR. (Hypothetically you could fly to Canada and then advise you are in country and get shifted to the virtual-landing process, subjecting yourself to even more uncertain wait).
2. No. Among other things, you will need to submit photos for the COPR.
4. Depends where you are and how you submit. Typically through VFS and however VFS sends them back to you.

Thank you very much for the reply. So, we have to patiently wait for the PPR email. We're just a little anxious because ecas shows DM, but we didn't receive PPR yet and can't register to the new tracking portal.

It took a few weeks from DM to PPR email, however that was over the Christmas period. You should soon get your email My husband is visa exam or as well and needed to send a copy of his passport and 2 photos through VFS along with a $23 money order for the COPR to be sent back to us. We’re in Australia so it may be a bit different depending where you are but we had his COPR back within a week once we got the PPR email. Best of luck and try to stay patient it is sooo difficult to do that though.
