So i came to canada when I was 20 (2010), and the document says I need checks for these:
The country where you currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more - (done, Ive lived in canada for the last 6 years as both a student and worker)
The country where you have spent most of your adult life since the age of 18. - I spent 2 years in Bermuda (from 18-20) and more of my adult life was actually spent in Canada.
So the question is, do I need to go to the bermudian police and request a police check?
Also, is there an expiration date on checks they accept? My partner has one from August of last year and hes lived here his whole life. Mine is only a few months old.
After further investigating the forms I found this:
Note: If the country where you current live, and the country where you have spent most of your adult
life since the age of 18, is the same, you only need to submit the one police certificate at this time,
unless you are specifically requested by this letter to submit a police certificate for an additional
country
So I only need one certificate. My only remaining question is timing for the police checks.
