Question about permanent resident card application

Hello everyone，

My brother recently got his eligibility approval letter for the PR application. How long does he have to wait to get his final CoPR after this letter？or what will happen after this stage？

（It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a Protected Person. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, your family members. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements）

He needs to apply for PR now. I believe current processing times are around 1.5 to 2 years for the PR application to be processed and approved.

Hi thanks for the reply. He already did back in september 2019. thats why he got
that letter from
CiC. I was wondering what will
happen after this letter.
