I'm just wondering about the whole interview process. My husband's VO is in Berlin and if they call us in for an interview, do I have to fly out to Berlin or could they do the interview via teleconference or something? I have four children and it's not easy for me to pick up and go across the world for an interview. Will they take that into consideration or am I kidding myself?

I'm really hoping the interview process is waived... :-\

If there is an interview (unlikely since your husband is from a visa-exempt country with a similar standard of living), as the applicant only your husband would be convoked. It is highly unlikely they would make your presence mandatory at the interview.

Ahh, thank you! I was told that I would have to travel to Germany, so was worried there.

The applicant will have to travel to Germany if they want an interview; the sponsor will not have to. If the visa officer wants to talk to the sponsor, they will phone. They don't usually bother.
