Question about gift deed? Cannot be more than 50%?

So I am arranging my proof of funds right now. I will be using a gift deed from my mother as she's the one who will be sending the money in my account. I heard from somewhere that your POF from gift deeds cannot exceed more than 50% of the funds in your account. The problem with me is that I was doing my Masters before this and I wasn't working so most of my savings were exhausted there. Therefore, my family is helping me out. So if I do get almost all of the funds for Express Entry from my mom with a gift deed, will that be a problem? I can't really find proper answers to it so would really appreciate some comments on this.
