My passport photos are the same full photo size as the ones CIC wants (ie border is 35mm x 45 mm), but the chin to crown on these is approx 38mm. CIC states that chin to crown length should be 25-30mm (25mm minimum and 30mm maximum)
Just wondering how important that is, if my passport photos are still the same 45mm x 35mm size.
I mean, 25-30mm for chin to crown length is really small. My face is going to look really tiny within the whole photo. Surely they'd want the face to be bigger and clearer rather than small. 25-30mm is really small for chin to crown length

Sure it does. If you photos don't meet the specification, when you "land" the copy of the COPR with a photo will be sent for processing. Sydney will refuse to process, (wasted 89 days) you will then have to submit proper photos, and again wait for your new PR card. Hey but if you don't care about an extra 3 month wait.
