Hello,

My sister is a PR in Canada. I and my mom already have visitor visa until our passport expires.

My question is as below:-

Q1) Can my wife apply for visitor visa as an independent applicant since I already have a visa, so can’t apply with her? Can my brother in law or my sister (sibling) send her an invitation letter to apply for visitor visa?

Q2) or does she needs to apply for tourist visa? And now is Canada issuing tourist visa keeping the pandemic situation in mind?

1) Yes, she will need to apply independently. Yes, her family in Canada can send her an invitation letter.
2) I don't understand this question. She needs to apply for a TRV. There is no difference between visitor and tourist, she needs a TRV. Yes, applications are being processed and TRVs issued.

What document can be uploaded online as "proof of relationship" in this case (since my wife is the siter is law of my sibling) ?
