Hi Friends,

What can one show as proof of fund for Canada immigration via express entry?

I have invested my wealth in share market, so can I show how much my shares are worth or do I have to sell off my shares and obtain liquid cash?

You can't show shares as they are subject to market risk. You can be a millionaire one day and a pauper another day.

If you sell the shares, you can show the proceeds of the sale as proof of funds

When it comes to fund, They want to know what you have, not what you will have.

You have to show the funds and how you have acquired them.

If you sell your shares, you have to show them proof of it.
If you get funds from you family member i.e father, brother, you have to show them gift-deed certificate.

You can not borrow it, but you can accept money from you father as a gift.

Further questions:

1. Ok, can I show the Fixed deposit balance and Public provident fund balance on my name as proof of funds?

2. If I have to show the above balance as my proof of funds then do I have to get the Net worth Certificate from a chartered Accountant.
