I have given IELTS in Canada in October of 2015. However, my score was just 0.5 short in speaking to make me CLB10 (Overall band 8 but 7 in speaking). So I re-took the test on October 29, 2016 from India. This time, AGAIN to my frustration, I got 8 bands BUT 0.5 points LESS for speaking, AGAIN defeating my main purpose to give this exam. If I could just get that 7.5 in speaking, I'd have an overall CRS score of 464 as opposed to 461 that I have right now.
Should I re-take this exam (sigh, really not feeling motivated at this point) or should I submit it for a revaluation?
Re-evaluation is about half the price of the actual test but you'll have to wait... err 4 weeks I believe? Plus no guarantees that you will get that extra .5
