Query regarding Express entry

Hi there,

I have submitted my express entry profile and currently waiting to receive an ITA. Will there be any issues with my EE profile, if I now apply for a student visa to Canada to pursue a diploma there. Basically,can you apply for a student visa and study in Canada while you still have an active EE profile and waiting to receive an ITA?
