I got selected in university under CO-OP program in last November but because of my low GPA i'm unable to meet the requirements so I'm unable to make up for CO-OP anymore. But that period of time they gave me work-permit letter which I can apply to get co-op work permit and I applied for the same. Today I got an email in which I got approval for co-op work permit.
It has following message in it
Your application to remain in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved. A secure document has been mailed to you at the address that you provided when you made your application. If you have not received your secure document within six weeks, contact CIC.
I have some queries regarding which is as follows :
1). Can i work legally full-time within this much period of time.
2). If above statement stands true can I get work permit after my study completes. (I am doing master which is of 2 years)
3). If not, not even I can work upto co-op work permit period time which is approximately of 5-6 months as full time.
4). Or it's just a waste and I stop getting happy and erase my smile from my face.
1. One of my friend who had co-op work permit but he didn't get co-op. He worked full-time during co-op work term for restaurant. My my point of view, you can work full-time during this period.
2. Of course, you will get work-permit as long as you meet the criteria to apply for work permit.
3. You can work full-time during co-op period.
4. You don't have to stop getting happy your self even don't have to erase smile. Keep calm, Stay Happy and God will help you...!!

1. Co-op work permit is a restricted permit with school as your employer. Check school name on permit.
2. It's not an open work permit. You can work only for the pre- approved positions by the school.

1. It's a Co-op work permit letter. It's a different thing that you aren't getting any Co-op position due to weak academics.
2. You can't work full time more than 50 percent of course duration.
3. You can't work for any employer other than school's approved positions.
Co-op work permit is a restricted work permit with school. that's correct.
Without co-op work permit, he has one another off-campus work permit as well on which he can work part-time during study and full-time during vacation or break.
If he didn't get co-op than I think he can work full-time on off-campus work permit/study permit not on co-op work permit.

2021-08-31 is last date of ur study permit.and usually co-op work permit last till the study permit. But u can only work under co-op work arranged by ur college university on specifeid timeline.
