I am an Ontario Nominee applicant who has applied for the program.I have query regarding the settlement of funds. I provided bank certificate as my proof of funds with the following information
1. Bank's letterhead with Banks logo
2. your name and address
3. Detailed bank's address, phone, fax for verification
4. Your A/C number
5. Current balance
6. The date when letter is printed
7. The date when you actually opened this account.
8. Bank's stamp.
Should this itself suffice or will I have to additionally provide the bank statement of 6 months. If so should I email them the same or send it through courier. Any help would be greatly appreciated

In addition to the Bank Certificate, you also need to submit 6 months bank statements. The reason for asking 6 months bank statement as part of POF is to ensure that the applicant has not taken a loan to meet the POF requirement. If you have submitted only the bank certificate, the case officer will not be able to gauge whether there has been/not a large inflow of sum into the applicant's account.
Yes, I second that.
Earlier there have been cases where candidates only submitted their Bank certificate and then OINP requested them 6 months bank statements after AOR.
