During my brief stint in Canada in the year 2005. I was on my company payroll for 10 months and after which I was on Employment Insurance for parental care. However my my Visa was valid for full one year. Putting the two together (10 months at 40 hours per week + EI for parental care), will this qualify for a full one year Canadian experience? If yes what should be mentioned in the express entry profile validity of the Visa time frame or the time until I was on payroll. If this adds up 35 points will get added to my CRS score for my express entry.

Thanks a lot istari for the clarification. So even Parental Care (which is not a layoff) is not considered for the experience. Sorry for the repetition, the reason I am asking again is, as per Parental care rules the employer should keep the job open for the employee and allow the employee to join work. Hence asking this again.
