Query for OCI for Minors - Passport Renewed

Hi - I have a minor who has an OCI and foreign passport. The OCI was issued for 5 years and recently the passport was renewed. As per new rules that I read, we don’t need to reissue the OCI until 20 years of age and we can just update the new passport details online and travel using the old OCI card - have upcoming travel in Oct and wanted to confirm if anyone has used this process successfully.

I have done that in past. They send you acknowledgement immediately and then a month or so later another email telling updates have been done.
