Query about undertaking the second course

Hey!
My study permit expires in December but my course ends in August. I would like to do a second course in another college. Would I have to apply for a study permit before taking the second course or in October/November before my current study permit expires?
Please help me clarify this doubt

Hey, when you get your new LOA, and once you're done with your course in Aug, go to your online IRCC account and change your DLI.
When is your second course starting?

Make sure the start date is within 150 days from the date you finish your first course.

Thank you so much for the reply. My first course ends in August 2021 and next course starts in September 2021. My study permit is valid till December 2021

Perfect, the gap is less than 150 days which is good.
So the day you finish your studies at old school, change DLI online, and once you have started studying, around Oct, apply for extension.
