Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi
I am a student graduated from Canada recently and now working full time for less than a year.
while i am in the process to get some documents ready for tax return purpose i just have a quick question.i would be grateful if someone can clarify my confusion.
- Am i eligible to get any return on GST I paid on daily shopping .for instance if i buy a car/laptop or so. The GST i payed on my shopping is returnable or not?

-Is it better to keep all the receipts for tax file purpose.

Thanks

Unless you are self-employed, you are only able to apply for the GST/HST credit. It's not related to things you have purchased, it's based on your annual income. For new residents it's form RC151E on the CRA website.
