Hello everyone, I am a Caribbean trained nurse and have recently applied for QSC via the Mexico office. Can anyone who has applied here please share your experience? Thanks much.

Hello Orichy i am not from quebec program but from fswp and have mexico as visa office I just see this visa office is slow :(

Hello Ann75, it certainly seems that way. I filed my application April 2013 initially and it was returned in August because I forgot to check the boxes relating to language. I resubmitted in September 2013 and received my AOR on November 27th via email. I am taking French classes in the mean time, hoping for the best!

When you say AOR is different from PER right? Because I just have my UCI and on my ECAS still says we receive your application on Jan 27, I am waiting my ECAS to say we start process your application...... I am so nervous :(

Hello Ann, I'm sorry am not certain as to what those abbreviations mean (PER,UCI, ECAS) but what I meant by AOR is 'acknowledgement of receipt.' I received an email confirming the receipt of my application which also stated that my file had been opened and was being studied and I would be informed by mail of the outcome. I am really nervous myself, especially knowing french is new to me.

UCI is unique client identificacion
PER is positive elligibility review and ECAS is the status you are as mine we received your application on.......my question is really, do you receive an email or letter telling about the AOR?

I received an email which was in French, but using ggogle translate it stated:

'We confirm the opening of your file and send you the receipt attesting to the collection of fees associated with the processing of your "Application for Selection Certificate" of Quebec.
Your file is being studied. Once it is completed, we will inform you by mail of the outcome of these investigations.'

Other info. was also included such as what to do if something changes that may impact my application.

Ahh ok, thank you!!!

Hi, I used the Mexico office for my CSQ. It took about 13 months after receiving AOR for me to get my CSQ. Initially, I sent it to Montreal in August 2012 because I was living in the US at the time. But Montreal transfer it to Mexico because nationality..... anyway. received AOR in Dec, 2012 and finally got my CSQ in January, 2014. So, you might be looking to wait at least a year.

The only weird part is that I'm applying with a Business Administration degree but my CSQ shows to be processed as a priority application because of domaine de formation

13 months is still way better than 36 which persons have to wait. Was your interview waived and were you required to submit proof of french language?

Yes to both. The interview was waived and I submitted TEFaQ at the time of the application.

If you are required to attend the interview, then your waiting will be longer as you would have to wait for interview slots. You would need to add at least 6 months more if you score falls in the interview bracket

I see..Thanks Jazv4. I guess in the mean time I will start working on my French!
