I have applied for PR through Express Entry and have applied for BOWP because I'm on a closed work permit and need to free myself of it to be able to find new jobs.
I have just received a PT-PROR except post diplome (it's the french name) and it says they have 'extended' my work permit until october...except my original CLOSED work permit goes to 2025...
Also, they said to use this letter with my work permit number Uxxxxxxxxxx but this U number doesn't correspond to any of my documents because my Closer worked permit number starts with W.
I am extremely confused. Can anyone please explain to me why I have a U number now ? My closed permit was on a W number...and how can they say they 'extended' when it's actually shorter than the original one...? I also applied for open work permit and they say the U permit allows me to work under the same conditions...so I'm on a closed permit again??
