Hi all,
I landed in Toronto on 03/04/2019 and applied for a PR card at Pearson International airport. Processing time is currently 41 days.
I need to go to the UK for a business conference on 28/04/2019. My PR card won't be ready by then. It seems that I can only apply for a PRTD from outside of Canada. Also, since I only need to be in the UK for a week, there won't be enough time to apply for a PRTD from there.
I don't have a US visa and I am from a country that needs a visa to enter the US.
Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? Woudl really appreciate some advice.
Thanks!

Travel back via a US land border with your COPR assuming you have a US visa or an ESTA if US visa exempt.

I don't. ALso don't think there is enought time to try and arrange a US visa now. This is so frustrating.
Find out approximately how long the COPR will take in UK . Extend your trip outside of canada....
Or cancel/delay you business trip.

Looks like there's no other way than to cancel the trip. It's such a pity that I will miss this conference though, it only happens once a year.

I got mine in 3 weeks and there are many who are getting in 15 days. Check the PR card thread and you can see people reporting their recent cases.

Not yet. I will make the move in coming months. My SO is also in Express entry pool. So I might wait here in Florida.
