Hi , Can PNP people do short landing in Toronto itself or they need to go all the way to Halifax ? Any Experiences from friends / relatives who have done that ?

I mean, it depends on which province nominated you, naturally.
I am a Nova Scotia Nominee..
You may be refused entry if the officer doubts that you do not have an 'intent' of landing in your nominating province. Having an onward ticket to Halifax would help support the 'intent'. You don't need to go to Halifax and can even cancel that ticket once you've 'landed' and crossed immigration (that's your decision though) but not having an onward ticket and showing up at POE in Toronto might not be the wisest decision.
