Hello
I wanted to know if a rent agreement can be a substitute for home ownership documents when applying for a visitors visa? will it give substantial support to the visa application? I am applying for my mother's visa, and she doesnt have any property solely in her name.
Any suggestions would really help me in this regard
thank you

sadly my father passed away last year. and since most of the property was in his name, it will take quite some time for the will to be executed and getting things under mom's name (due to bureaucratic red tapes, and post-pandemic backlogs mainly), n I was hoping for mom to move here in canada soon to help her heal from dads loss, so any way to work around it?

She can't really move unless you entered the lottery, being selected, and going through the process for PGP immigration and landed (which again take a year or two).

I understand, and it is a lengthy process as family sponsorships are not being accepted at this point, also super visa takes over a year to come, so my best bet is a regular visit visa , she would stay with me for 4-5 months, have a change in setting and then return.

Now the only issue i am facing is that we don't have any property in her name, so i m trying to somehow get the rent agreement of her current house to pass in leu of home ownership.
