I have all my docs ready to send. However, I am still unsure about the income part of things. I have my notice of assessment for 2015. I have a sole proprietorship business. On the checklist it states I have to send in my last 12 months proceeding the application. It's December so I haven't done up the 2016 year yet? Do I just print out bank statements for the past year and send in along with my 2015 notice of assessment?
Also my 2015 notice of assessment is pretty low but for 2016 I have tripled my business income since adding to my business. It is just my spouse and he has no children, and I have one in Canada. I'm just slightly confused on what it is exactly that they want.
it doesn't matter what your income is, so don't worry about that. what matters is that cic is convinced you won't use welfare upon approval. you are free to write an explanation to CIC in your application to explain your income.
it is impossible to have a 2016 return yet, so it is fine to send your 2015.
yes - send the last 12 months of bank statements to show your business revenue/income. it doesn't matter if you can't provide your 2016 NOA yet, what matters is you send them 12 months of income proof. it just happens your 12 months is jan-dec.

I was worried about sending all my bank statements. Just because it shows everything from purchases etc haha which is not a big deal I'm sure and it's a lot of papers for 12 months of bank statements
The bank said they could give me a stamped paper verifying the balance in my account for the end of every month but they couldn't give me anything that just showed all the credits that went into my bank account. I'm sure they can if I dug a little more
