I know it sounds ridiculous to ask... but I read it on cic site that "the amount can include the value of any property that you own, but should not include jewellery, cars or other personal assets."

Hi,
Property can be included into your total asset when you count your assets and liabilties but for the proof of funds some of the visa offices only accept the value of property for e.g Delhi visa office accept the valuation of the property but not all visa offices accept it.
You can include it in your assets but remember they will count only 50% as yours because its joint with your father so CHC will not count 100% of its value and another thing if you are relying only on this property then you will need to get a formal valuation done for it which will tell the exact value of the property at present.

What about CHC London? will accept property evaluation in order to Proof of funds, what is complete procedure about that how i evaluate what docs require for this, i am fully relying on such type of proof,
waiting for your response,
